COMPARITIVE STUDY ON CRUSHING LOAD OF STAINLESS STEEL TUBE INFILLED STUB COLUMN

The use of in-filled columns is a new trend in composite construction industry. The bearing capacity is more than the sum of individual load carrying capacity of the stainless steel tube and concrete. In this paper the austenitic stainless steel tube of 304 grade is used. The conventional concrete is replaced by using geopolymer concrete as an infill material. A stainless steel tube of various thicknesses is used as a major parameter in this experimental investigation. The behavior of in filled stub column and hollow stub column is studied experimentally by applying gradual load along with analytical study using finite element software ANSYS. The design strength of the composite stub column was predicted by carrying out numerical investigation using various international codes. The ultimate load carrying capacity of the in filled stub column was calculated by experimental and analytical work and the results of the same were compared for numerical

FLEXURAL ABILITY OF BEAM WITH BAMBOO REINFORCEMENTAND COCONUT SHELL AGGREGATE CONCRETE

Coconut shell (CS) is largely available waste material in India can be used as aggregate for preparing less density concrete. Reinforcement is replaced by bamboo, which is also a largely naturally available material. Replacement is done for traditional materials with CS as aggregate and bamboo as reinforcement .In this paper Beams of various sections like balanced, under reinforced and over reinforced sections has been taken into consideration. Flexural ability of beams has been analyzed by considering Load carrying capacity and deflection of the beams.

EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON TERNARY BLENDED CONCRETE

Concrete is the most commonly used material in the construction. This paper suggests ternary blended concrete and results of an experimental investigation on concrete properties, By the addition of additional material with the partial replacement of cement, The properties are going to be investigate are fresh properties and hardened properties of Ternary blended concrete. This paper discusses about the percentage to be added to get high strength and good durability. Cement replaced with
